Our Story
De Dadel was born from a love for food that feels warm, generous and full of colour.
We are Tessa and Soufiane, the people behind De Dadel: a vegetarian brunch bar and patisserie in the heart of Den Burg, Texel. Our food is inspired by the Mediterranean, with a Moroccan touch — shaped by family recipes, travel, seasons and the simple joy of sharing a table.
Everything we make starts with care. From our homemade pastries and cakes to our brunch dishes, breads, dips, drinks and small details on the plate, we believe food should feel honest, comforting and a little bit special.
Soufiane brings the flavours of Morocco and the Mediterranean into the kitchen: spices, herbs, slow-cooked vegetables, fresh bread, olive oil, preserved lemon, dates and all the small things that make a dish memorable. Tessa brings her love for patisserie, hospitality and the calm details that make De Dadel feel like home.
Together we created a place where you can come for coffee and cake, a colourful brunch, a quiet moment, or a table full of food to share.
De Dadel is fully vegetarian, with vegan options and gluten-free possibilities whenever we can. We cook with the seasons, make almost everything ourselves, and always try to bring a little warmth to your day.
